Celt Warband and Chariots in Full Color!

06-Apr-2009 I was excited to see a couple BIG emails in the Wargames Factory inbox from Steve Dake. Steve is an excellent painter who is building a massive Celt army (well, he's probably building several massive armies - aren't we all?) and he sent along some pictures taken by his friend Don Nelson to show off what he's done. Check them out:

A Celt Queen leads her warriors into battle.

A Celt warrior runs out onto the yoke to rain javelins down at his enemies.

A Celt leader defies the Romans with a feat of supreme balance! ;-)

Celt Warband figures assembled as javelinmen and slingers.

A band of Celt warriors - the above picture shows the contents from one box of Celt Chariots (3 chariots, $19.95) and one box of the Celt Warband (32 figures, $19.95). Both are available in the online store here!

WOW! The quality of those chariots is stupendous! I cannot believe they are plastic, and so cheap at that! Much better than the metal competition, and naturally so much cheaper! Well done indeed both to WF and the painters!

Excellent paint jobs and basing. Great figures and great combinations.

Very nice! I think WF needs to strongly think about having two sizes of open hand, though -- the spears look great and the sword wielders look like they have no idea how to hold a sword.

I'm not the biggest fan of the Kevin Dalimore stle of painting but these are well done and you can really see how excellent the figures are.

Stunning, we all have our own favourite paint style, what matters is the effect, both en masse and single and the enjoyment you get from the hobby.
