Jewish Revolt Zealots

Recreate the epic battles of the First Jewish-Roman War (66-73 AD) in which Roman legions led by Vespasian and Titus fought a guerrilla war against Jewish Zealots and Sicarii (dagger-men).

This set is a "mash-up" of two sets (Ancient German Warband and Numidians) that allow you to mix-and-match parts to create the forces of ancient Judea.

The set is sold unpackaged (sprues only) and features the following:

4 Numidian equipment sprues
5 Numidian body sprues (20 figures)
4 Ancient German Warband equipment sprues

These sprues allow you to create the following:

Up to 16 bowmen
Up to 16 slingers
Up to 20 javelinmen
Up to 20 swordmen
Up to 8 club-men
Up to 4 dagger-men
Or any combinations of the above.

There are also standards (including a captured Roman vexillum), musical instruments, and more ornate helmeted heads to create Command.

Please note that you will receive 4 additional bodies (as seen above) with the Ancient German equipment sprues. These bare-chested German bodies are not historically accurate for the Jewish Revolt but could be converted with the many additional heads, weapons, and arms included. (Or use to augment your Ancient German Warband army!)

Very nice conversions, Juut when I thought I had my conversions nicely planned they put german heads ond numidian bodies..... hmmm..... Baleric / hispanic slingers for my romans. And concerning the leftover german. When the viking set appears it will make a nice thrall or berserker model.

I like this idea of a mix-and-match set, thoug I will likely use this set to make Illyrians and/or Getai(early Dacians)rather than Jewish Revolt. I just prefer Roman Republican enemies to Imperial enemies. I do see a huge market for Jewish Revolt enthusiast, though, as well as people like myself. Good going!

If a retailer wants to stock it with minimal packaging - i.e. in a plain plastic bag with not much else - they are definitely welcome to. We just didn't think it was the "right" type of product for retail - here's what I wrote on the announcement page:

The set isn't "perfect" in that the Ancient German sprues include a running figure that really doesn't work for the Jewish Revolt - but you can always do additional conversion (add a cloak perhaps) and/or use as...er, gee, Ancient Germans!

Because it's not a "perfect" fit - we didn't think this was a product that should be packaged and sent off to your Friendly Local Game Shop as it might cause a bit of confusion. But here on the Factory site and webstore we can explain it fully and anyone buying will know exactly what they're in for!

Bloody hell those are nice. Here we are waiting for years for a decent set of 28mm Jewish War and you blokes pull it off by squishing two sets together and better than the existing metal ranges. Ace!

Hi Mr Man - it's 24 figures altogether...but the "up to" part shows how many of each type you CAN make.
